About Raymond
Raymond graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1982 and was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1983. He has practised with a number of firms, including as a sole-proprietor before joining Robert Wang & Woo LLC in July 2007.
Raymond is the Head of the Corporate and Commercial Department and specializes in Corporate and Commercial work, including, Capital Markets and Corporate Finance matters. He acts for public-listed companies in their corporate and corporate finance exercises and advises Boards of Directors and Board Committees of public-listed companies in areas of compliance and corporate governance. The types of work he has undertaken include IPOs, reverse takeovers, mergers and acquisitions, rights issues, private placements and warrants and bond issues. His clients include listed companies in industries ranging from investment holding to manufacturing and renewable energy. Besides Singapore, his clients have operations in the United Kingdom, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Cambodia and China.
In his career, Raymond has handled large and complex commercial transactions, including a S$1.4 billion multi-currency loan syndication exercise for the developer of Suntec City and the subsequent S$235 million sale of the assets and businesses of Suntec City. He also acts for a German multinational who established a S$100 million non-ferrous metal manufacturing plant in Singapore.
Raymond is a director of Annica Holdings Limited, a public-listed company in Singapore, where he serves as the lead independent director. Raymond is also the named Company Secretary of several public-listed companies.
