About Tchi Chu
From 1968 to 1970, Tchi Chu worked as a State Counsel and Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Attorney-General's Chambers before entering private practice. He has been in private practice since 1970. Currently is an Independent Director of and sits in the Audit Committee of Hong Leong Finance Ltd, a public company listed on the Stock Exchange of Singapore. From 1991 to 2003, he also acted as Independent Director and Member of the Audit Committee of Target Realty Limited, which was delisted from the Stock Exchange of Singapore in November 2003 through a privatisation exercise. He was awarded the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 1990 and Public Service Star (BBM) in 2002, by the Singapore Government and appointed Justice of Peace in 2000. From time to time, he serves as an ICC Arbitrator under the aegis of the International Court of Arbitration in Paris.
