Woo Tchi Chu co-founded the Firm in 1986. He was the former Managing Partner and the Head of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group, and is now a Senior Consultant with the Firm.

From 1968 to 1970, Tchi Chu started his legal career as a State Counsel and Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Attorney-General's Chambers. Thereafter, he entered private practice and has done so for more than 40 years now. Tchi Chu is an accredited arbitrator with several professional and jurisdictional institutions including the Singapore International Arbitration Centre, the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators and the Asia-Pacific Regional Arbitration Group. He has also served as an ICC arbitrator under the aegis of the International Court of Arbitration in Paris. He now acts mainly as arbitrator or counsel in selected cases.

Tchi Chu has acted as a legal assessor / prosecuting counsel for various statutory bodies including the Singapore Medical Council, Singapore Dental Council and the Public Accountants Board. Tchi Chu was also an independent director and sat on the Audit Committee of several public listed companies including Hong Leong Finance Limited and Target Realty Limited (which was delisted in 2003 through a privatisation exercise).

Tchi Chu was awarded the Public Service Medal (PBM) in 1990 and Public Service Star (BBM) in 2002 by the Singapore Government. He was also appointed a Justice of Peace in 2000 and a Magistrate of the Neighbourhood Court in 2008.
